Yucatan Mexico / Mission Trip

Smiling tourists never imagine the truth of life in Yucatan Mexico.

A commonwealth of the United States, Yucatan Mexico offers wealthy residents and tourists the comforts of America as well as exotic beaches and a relaxed Cancun culture.

Sadly, almost half of the population lives below the poverty line, and unemployment always remains high. Most of the Yucatan people do not have access to services such as police protection and emergency medical care.

For many, it seems poverty, hopelessness drugs, and crime will be a constant reality for the rest of their lives.

You can share the promise of abundant life in Christ no matter the circumstances (and hope for the future!) with the people of Yucatan.

Ministry:

While in Yucatan Mexico, there will be a number of ministries throughout the area. Your team will be matched with the most immediate needs. Ministry opportunities include:

• Kids Ministry: You might have opportunities to get to know and impact children and families in local communities.
• Youth Ministry: Your team will meet with local youth, you will attend their Sunday evening Youth Group meeting, as well as a youth group sports and activities.
• Church Ministry: You might also get to host a church service for the community.
• Community Outreach: There might be opportunities to help with local evangelism.

The good news is while the enemy seeks to destroy, Jesus came to bring life. Are you willing go?

​All team members under age 18 must obtain a written, notarized letter from their parents giving them parental permission to leave the country. They must carry the original notarized letter, not a photocopy of the letter.

Mission trips provide a great opportunity for personal and spiritual growth.

To make the most of this opportunity, be intentional about seeking God before, during, and after the trip.

Ask him to guide you, shape your attitude, help you interpret what you’re seeing, hearing, and feeling, and lock in the lessons you learn.

Please complete sections 1 - 7  before 6/28/2017. Section 8 will be required after the trip.
