About the project
Macedonia is a small country in the Balkan region of a population of around 2 million. They recognize themselves as a Christian nation being Orthodox Christians. Sadly, less than 5,000 people are evangelical believers. However, God is raising up believers, who hear the call and see the need and commissioning them to spread the gospel. With zeal and passion, the few are faithfully preaching, sharing, and helping those who are in need physically and spiritually.
 
Igor & Magdalena Panov
Upon his return from Bible School, Igor, received the call from God and started doing whatever he could to help spread the good news of the Gospel.  The Lord blessed Igor and he got married to Magdalena and now has 2 children, Nathaniel and Hannah. After many years serving and helping at his local church in his home town, Veles, they felt a calling from God to move to the capital of Macedonia, Skopje where they currently minister.
 
Local church
Although the churches are small, they make a large impact in their communities. Igor and Magdalena, minister in their local church, Evangelical Protestant Church Glasnost, by preaching, leading worship, disciplining, and helping in many local outreaches they have.
 
Besides ministering in their local church, Igor and Magdalena are involved other ministries. They love the people and with compassion they strive to reach anyone with the Love of God. Here are some of the other ministries they are part of:

  1. Families with special needs
    1. The vision for this ministry is to be able to provide medical equipment, food, and gifts. They also make retreats and outings with the less fortunate, in order that they can enjoy the blessings of life. With love they serve and help these people and desire that they see the love of God.
  2. Local home visits
    1. They attempt to make relationships with the locals and visit the people in their need. Since locals may never step inside of a church, they take the church to them.  
  3. Student ministry
    1. Igor has joined CEAM (IFES), a ministry that reaches out to students and educates young adults in a Christian worldview.  They challenge students to recognize the impact a Christian worldview can make on a society. Igor assists in office management, trains staff, organizes student retreats, leads bible studies, educates and matures students, and organizes evangelical campaigns.
  4. Roma Ministry
    1. Macedonia has a lot of Roma people (gypsies). They regularly go to Shutka, the largest populated city of the Roma people. There they feed the kids, evangelize, provide education and teach English.
  5. Food distribution
    1. One of the best ways they make an impact on the secular community, is by feeding the poor in the city. Their local church is heavily involved in feeding the hungry in their city, hard work that does not go by unnoticed. The government and local business acknowledge their kindness and exposed the good work evangelical believers do. They regularly distribute food to the poor and to those who barely make it by. They store food in one facility but desire to expand this ministry to reach more people in different parts of the city.

Ministry Needs
There are a few practical things that would help this ministry go further:  Guitar, laptop, camera, literature, bibles, and ministry vehicle.
 
All of the ministries above are done voluntarily but with love. Igor and Magdalena, give of their personal car, time, and home for the needs of others. These tasks need to be sustained in order to function and continue. Would you be open and willing to support Igor and Magdalena, to they have the tools and finances to continue their ministries?
