TRUTH IN LOVE · SCRIPTURE & WITNESS

STAND or COMPROMISE?

A two-team showdown. Fast, loud, and fun — but every round is really asking one thing: will you stand on Scripture… or compromise truth to fit the culture? Love people — don't bend God's Word to win applause (Rom. 12:21).

"And such were some of you. But you were washed, sanctified, justified…" — 1 Corinthians 6:11  ·  "A man shall hold fast to his wife… one flesh." — Genesis 2:24

WINNER

Great game — but here's the truth behind it: God's design for marriage is one man and one woman; standing on Scripture is not hate, and change is possible in Christ. The real win isn't the scoreboard — it's learning to love people without bending truth to fit the culture.

How to Play — "Stand or Compromise?"

🎯 The goal: Two teams compete across 4 quick rounds. It plays like a fun trivia showdown — but every answer quietly teaches one truth: love people — don't bend truth to fit the culture. Stand on Scripture, flee sexual immorality, overcome evil with good.

1 · Set up your teams

  • Split the room into two teams (defaults: TEAM STAND vs. TEAM LOVE).
  • To rename a team, just tap its name on the scoreboard and type.
  • Both scores start at 0.

2 · How each question works

  1. Read the card out loud to the room.
  2. Give teams a few seconds to talk it over and answer.
  3. Tap "Reveal Answer." Read the answer and the "why" underneath — that "why" line is the whole lesson.
  4. Award points using the buttons under each team.
  5. Tap "Next ▸" to move on.

3 · Scoring

+1Right answer in Rounds 1, 2 & 3.
+2Round 4 (Lightning) — double points. Also +2 in Round 3 for a standout answer.
−1Oops button — correct a scoring mistake or goofing off.

4 · Whose turn is it?

  • Rounds 1, 2 & 4: Alternate teams. Missed answers can be stolen.
  • Round 3: Both teams answer the same scenario card.

The 4 rounds

  • Round 1 — Stand or Compromise? Sort each choice: stand on Scripture or bend truth for culture?
  • Round 2 — What Does Scripture Say? Bible knowledge on God's design, Romans 1, and hope in 1 Corinthians 6.
  • Round 3 — What Would You Do? Real school-pressure scenarios — judge the best thinking.
  • Round 4 — Lightning (double points). Fast finish on key verses and truths.

6 · Host tips

  • Keep it moving — about 12–15 minutes. Handle this topic with dignity, not jokes or slurs.
  • Offer a leader for private questions after class.
  • Keyboard: → Next, ← Back, Spacebar Reveal, T timer.
