HONOR or DISTRACT?

A two-team showdown. Fast, loud, and fun — but every round asks one thing: does this assembly habit honor God and His people… or distract from worship? The church is not optional. Put God's kingdom first — show up ready, behave with honor, serve with joy.

"Let us not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another." — Hebrews 10:25  ·  "Set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." — 1 Timothy 4:12

WINNER

Great game — but here's the truth behind it: the Church is God's primary instrument on earth — not a social club you endure. The win is a heart that honors — present, proper, prepared, participating, and proven loyal. Put the kingdom first. Serve the body with joy.

How to Play — "Honor or Distract?"

🎯 The goal: Two teams compete across 4 rounds teaching one truth: young Christians love the assembly — show up present, behave with honor, prepare for class, participate in service, and prove loyal commitment. Not anti-fun; pro-kingdom-first.

1 · Set up your teams

  • Split into two teams. Default: TEAM HONOR vs. TEAM BODY.

2 · How each question works

  1. Read the card out loud to the room.
  2. Give teams a few seconds to talk it over and answer.
  3. Tap "Reveal Answer." Read the answer and the "why" underneath — that "why" line is the whole lesson.
  4. Award points using the buttons under each team.
  5. Tap "Next ▸" to move on.

3 · Scoring

+1Right answer in Rounds 1, 2 & 3.
+2Round 4 (Lightning) — double points. Also +2 in Round 3 for a standout answer.
−1Oops button — correct a scoring mistake or goofing off.

4 · Turn-taking

  • Rounds 1, 2, 4: alternate teams. Round 3: both teams answer.

The 4 rounds

  • Round 1 — Honor or Distract? Sort each assembly habit. Chips: DISTRACT (cool blue) vs. HONOR (gold).
  • Round 2 — Scripture on the Assembly. Bible principles for presence, worship, and service.
  • Round 3 — What Would You Do? Sunday conflicts, class distractions, service opportunities, vacation plans.
  • Round 4 — Lightning. Key verses and truths — double points.

6 · Host tips

  • 12–15 minutes. No shame about boredom — teach honor, preparation, and service as the cure.
